A SWINDON doctor is facing allegations of having sex with a 'string' of women in his consultation room.
The Sun reports that it was claimed Thomas Plimmer, 40, also preyed on a “vulnerable” colleague to force her into weekly sex sessions at his GP practice.
These claims were made during a Medical Practitioners Tribunal looking into Dr Plimmer's conduct that began on September 11 and is expected to run until September 29.
During the period of May 2018 and September 2019, he is alleged to have behaved in a sexually motivated way towards his colleague
The tribunal, held by video conference, was told how Dr Plimmer started a relationship with his colleague and in May 2018, he 'without warning' showed her a video of him having sex with another woman.
Mark Monaghan, presenting the case on behalf of the General Medical Council, said: “He accepted it happened but says it was agreed and consensual.”
He told the hearing: “This represented an abuse of his position.
“After this, the doctor tried to kiss and tried to touch her. He would come into her room with his trousers undone and flirt with her.
“She would refuse his advances.”
Mr Monaghan added that there were occasions when she went into the doctor’s consulting room to find him performing a sex act and he frequently sent her explicit videos, both of which he admits.
The hearing was told there was sexual behaviour on a “weekly basis” but Dr Plimmer claimed it was always consensual.
It was also alleged that during the period January to June 2020 and in February 2021, Dr Plimmer behaved in a sexually motivated way towards Ms B, Ms C, Ms D and Ms E respectively.
The Sun reports that Dr Plimmer is said to have invited two other women he met on dating sites to his surgery in Swindon where he engaged in sex acts during working hours.
After this he began and maintained relationships with a number of women at the same time, lying about his mother having strokes and his brother being in hospital to juggle his various relationships.
He is also believed to have made a threat against another person in March 2021 where he is alleged to have said: "If that c*** takes me to the GMC, I'll slit her throat."
The tribunal continues.
