A garden centre in Swindon has announced a whole host of fun and affordable Christmas events for children in 2023.
This year’s event line-up is complete with some annual family favourites and some new surprises.
But Dobbies, on Hyde Road, is warning customers to book now, after families have been left disappointed in previous years.
For parents with little ones under 10, the return of the popular Santa’s breakfast is a great way to get out of the house and bring some magic to the breakfast table.
The meal will be followed by craft activities, festive games and a gift from Santa himself. This will be taking place from November 25 onwards, at £13.99 per child and £9 per adult.
For those who are looking for something a little bit more grown up, the festive afternoon tea might be the better alternative.
With three tiers of tasty festive treats from finger sandwiches with honey roast ham to scones served with Cornish clotted cream – is it really Christmas if you don’t fill up on your favourite treats?
If you’re looking for the ultimate sophisticated Christmas, you can even upgrade to enjoy delicious savoury snacks like the prawn marie rose vol au vents, and Prosecco.
The afternoon tea will run from November 1, at £13.50 per adult and £8.50 per child.
“Seeing families and friends come together, sharing laughter, and creating special memories is at the heart of what we do at Dobbies, and we hope these events will make that happen,” said Sarah Murray, who has developed this year’s event programme.
But if the thought of your little one sitting still for more than five minutes seems laughable, Dobbies have also got you covered.
As well as their classic Santa’s Grotto (and yes, there's a grotto for dogs too), the Little Seedlings Christmas party for members aged 4-10 will be taking place on December 3, with games, dancing, food, and a special visit and gift from Santa.
Families are also invited to Dobbies’ Christmas shopping night on November 30, which will raise money for Teenage Cancer Trust.
“Our team has poured their passion truly bringing the magic of Christmas to life. We can't wait to see the happiness these events bring our customers and their loved ones,” added Ms Murray.
