A doctor accused of rape and sexual assault threatened to kill a woman who was considering reporting him to his professional body, it has been alleged at a tribunal.
Thomas Plimmer, 40, who is alleged to have had sex sessions with multiple women at his Swindon GP surgery, has been the subject of an ongoing Medical Practitioner's Tribunal Service hearing for several days.
He faces a number of accusations of sexual misconduct from half a dozen complainants.
On Monday, the tribunal heard that a new witness, a former partner of Dr Plimmer, discovered that the self-professed sex addict was leading a secret double life and had been cheating on her.

This new witness, referred to only as Ms D to protect her identity, also claimed that the doctor had made a threat to her about another woman, Ms F, if she reported him to the General Medical Council.
According to the witness, he told her: "If that c*** takes me to the [General Medical Council] I'll slit her throat. I know where she lives."
In response, Dr Plimmer's representative Tom Day said that the language used was "figurative" and did not amount to a real threat of violence and stated that Dr Plimmer did not say "I know where she lives".
But Ms D responded that she told Ms F what Dr Plimmer had said about her because she was concerned, asking the subject of his alleged threat if she lived alone.
She said: "I don't know what I believed. It was an incredibly stressful period.
"Anytime a man makes a threat like that - it is always important to talk about it.
"I did not know if it was figurative - I was very confused about what was going on - there was a tremendous amount of information coming out every single day over weeks and weeks."
Ms D sent a message to Ms F about this threat, although Mr Day was clear to clarify that this was a week after it was made.
He added: "If you had thought it was a genuine threat wouldn't you have told her at the time."
Mr Day then suggested that a hurt Ms D had sent the message because she had "decided to ruin him in any way you could".
Ms D responded: "I was very, very hurt by that and by the fact he had told this woman the same set of lies he had told me about family illnesses.
"I found out more than just an affair. He had been in relationships lasting years and had a secret second home."
When asked why she reported him to the GMC, she said: "I believed Dr Plimmer had something very, very wrong with him."
The tribunal continues. Dr Plimmer denies the allegation was a legitimate threat.
