The M4 has been closed due to a serious crash.
Emergency services have descended on the M4 on Friday morning after a lorry overturned between Junctions 18 (Bath) and 17 (Chippenham).
The motorway is closed in both directions.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: "The M4 is currently closed in both directions at Junction 17 (Chippenham), following a serious collision involving multiple cars and an HGV which occurred at approximately 9.10am.
"Traffic will be diverted off the M4 at J17 whilst the incident is dealt with.
"Please avoid the area."

Because of this, National Highways have issued a diversion route to motorists trying to navigate the area.
Road users are advised to follow the solid square symbol on road signs if heading eastbound, towards Swindon and London.
Eastbound diversion route
- Exit the M4 eastbound at J18.
- At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit and join the A46 towards Bath.
- At the A46/A420 roundabout, take the 1st exit and join the A420 towards Chippenham.
- At the A420/A350 roundabout, take the 1st exit and join the A350 towards the M4.
- At the A350/M4 roundabout, take the 3rd exit and rejoin the M4 at J17.
Westbound diversion route
Motorists are advised to follow the solid diamond symbol if heading westbound, towards Bristol and Cardiff.
They are advised to follow the above route in reverse.
