SNOWMAN building workshops, advent markets and the annual light switch-on ceremony are just a few events taking place in Cirencester next month.
The final willow snowman building workshop with Chris Oakey, of Oakey Bear Outdoor Learning, will take pace on Thursday, November 2 in the Market Place.
Once the snowman are built, and The Churn’s Stitch Knit & Natter Group have finished their winter accessories, the snowman trial will be launched in the town centre.
In addition, a Christmas Gift Market has been organised to take place in the Market Place on Sunday, November 19 between 10am and 4pm.
Keen shoppers will also be able to browse through more than 100 stalls in the town centre during the Advent Markets weekend, Saturday, November 25 and Sunday, November 26.
Expect live music, fireworks, street performers and plenty of festive food.
Mayor Sabrina Dixon, a representative from headline sponsor Sewell Mullings Logie and Cannon Graham Morris will be turning on the Christmas lights at 4pm on the Saturday (November 25) to start the weekend's festivities with a bang.
The town centre will be closed to all traffic over the weekend as stalls will extend from Castle Street to the top of Cricklade Street and throughout the length of the Market Place, as far as the Fleece Hotel.
Also, the Corn Hall’s indoor Christmas markets will commence on Sunday, November 26 and will continue until Christmas Eve.
