A popular town café has retained its top food hygiene rating after a recent inspection.
The Olive Tree Café at Manor Garden Centre was given a five-out-of-five score after being visited by inspectors on Thursday, October 5.
Swindon Borough Council’s environmental health team found the café’s hygienic handling of food including preparation, cooking, re-heating, cooling and storage to be very good.
Assistant manager Amanda Carless has been at the café for six years and was proud to earn the top score once more.
“We are really to retain the top marks again because as a team we work extremely hard to make sure we maintain constantly.
“The hard work has definitely paid off as we have a committed team of helpers.
“Volunteers help out those who have suffered a mental health crisis and our aim is to give them confidence to get them into the real world and into the job market.”
The hygiene report also stated the eatery’s cleanliness and condition of facilities and building were very good too.
It was the same for the management of food safety which shows checks are in place to ensure the food served is safe to eat.
