More than 100 households in Cricklade have been left without power today (Monday).
A total of 10 postcodes and 109 households in Cricklade and Ashton Keynes are affected by the unplanned outage.
The power cut was first reported to Scottish and Southern Electricity Network (SSE) at 2.56pm on Monday, November 13, and the Southern power supplier say they hope to restore power by 9pm.
Although the exact cause of this power cut is unclear, heavy winds due to the incoming Storm Debi are likely a contributing factor.
A yellow weather warning has been announced for parts of Wiltshire as Storm Debi arrives, and will last until midday on Tuesday.
“Some short-term loss of power and other services is likely," said a spokesperson for the Met Office.
A spokesperson for Scottish and Southern Electricity added: "We're sorry for the loss of supply. We currently have a fault and our engineers are on site working hard to get the power back on as quickly as they can.
"If you need more information, you can call us on 105 and reference MV1886."
