Christmas decorations have been put up in Swindon's Brunel Centre.
Along with baubles lining the balconies of the second floor of the town centre shopping centre, there is a large golden snowball structure and an arch made out of Christmas foliage.
Swindon Borough Council has confirmed its plans to decorate the town centre and light it up in preparation for the festive season.
As well as lights there will be a Christmas Tree in the town centre which is being provided by the Charlton Park Estate for the NSPCC and their Christmas funding campaign, and the NSPCC has done the majority of the work to secure it for the town centre.
Councillor Kevin Small, cabinet member for finance, said: “We couldn’t let the town centre go without any decorations for this festive season.
“Christmas is an important time for every high street and we want to make Swindon’s as welcoming as possible to encourage footfall and make use of the shops, both big and independent, we have in the area.”
