Wiltshire Police have acted to crack down on knife crime across the county with preventative measures this week.
Officers and volunteers carried out a knife safety sweep in Chippenham on Wednesday as searches were carried out in the Donkey Fields and no weapons were found.
Elsewhere officers and PCSOs from the neighbourhood team attended Swindon College in North Star on Tuesday.
While there, officers installed a knife arch which was then used by students at the College.
These measures are a part of Operation Sceptre which is a national initiative to raise awareness of knife crime and the police action in detecting, reducing and preventing it.
A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: “Students were polite and engaging with the Op as part of our ongoing series of events this week.
“A week of action is taking place across the county this week, ranging from enforcement activity and high visibility patrols, to partnership working with local schools, colleges and youth groups.”
