A man attempted to steal an elderly woman’s bag and pushed her to the ground during an incident in Purton.
A woman in her 60s was walking from the One Shop along Pavenhill and then into Upper Pavenhill when a man pushed her to the ground from behind and unsuccessfully tried to take her bag.
He then ran off after the incident which took place at around 6.30pm on November 9.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “Officers are urging anyone who lives along this route to check their CCTV or doorbell cameras for footage which could assist our enquiries.
“We’d also urge any witnesses to get in touch.
