A Swindon teenager has been jailed for robbery and drugs offences.
The 17-year-old, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, indicated a plea of guilty to robbery but denied several other charges at Swindon Magistrates Court.
He admitted to stealing a man’s wallet and Apple AirPods in Gloucester on December 10, 2022, an incident which court documents say involved an unprovoked attack of a serious nature.
On October 18, 2023, he initially pleaded not guilty to possessing cannabis, heroin, and crack cocaine with intent to supply it in Swindon on October 10, 2023, being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and heroin in Swindon between August 28 and October 10, 2023, and having cannabis on him while in Swindon on October 1, 2023.
Court documents indicate that he later pleaded guilty to being involved in supplying heroin and was sentenced on November 21.
The youth will be behind bars for the next 12 months due to the seriousness of the offences that were committed.
The Class B and Class A drugs that were found to be in his possession have been forfeited and destroyed.
