A 13-year-old girl has been hospitalised after being hit by a van in Swindon.
The child was knocked down at around 5pm on Wednesday, November 22.
Emergency services responded and the road was closed for a number of hours, with police confirming at the time that a pedestrian had been hit.
Today, a Wiltshire Police spokesperson has provided an update, confirming further details on who was knocked down, and their injuries.
The spokesperson said: "At around 5pm, we responded to reports that a pedestrian had been involved in a collision with a van in Cheney Manor Industrial Estate near the B4006 roundabout.
"The girl suffered serious injuries which are not thought to be life-threatening and was taken to hospital for treatment."
Police confirmed that no arrests were made at the scene, but that an investigation into the circumstances is now underway.
The spokesperson added: "Any witnesses to the collision or anyone who may have dash cam are asked to contact the serious collision investigation team on 01225 694597 quoting log number 190 of yesterday’s date.
"Alternatively, they can contact the team directly at SCIT@wiltshire.police.uk."
