Two teenagers have been arrested after a car said to have been used in a getaway by e-scooter thieves crashed into other vehicles.

The incident happened at approximately 4.50pm on Saturday, October 14 in Chippenham, when two males were walking along Brook Street.

It is alleged a silver VW Golf  pulled up alongside the pair and the occupants inside made threats towards the pedestrians, demanding one of them hand over his e-scooter.

When the pedestrian obliged, the vehicle made off at speed but hit vehicles parked in Redlands.

Police say that the four occupants made off on foot and their enquiries have been ongoing.

This led to the arrest of two 17-year-old boys in connection with the incident.
