The latest details on the upcoming bin collection change across Swindon have been revealed.
Swindon Borough Council announced in October that the biggest changes to the waste and recycling service in the town for 15 years would arrive this Autumn.
The latest system commences on Monday, November 27, and will see the introduction of new food waste caddies and blue weighted bags.
Now the council has revealed what residents can do if they are yet to receive these new containers ahead of the first collections.
An SBC spokesperson said: “If you've not got your new containers yet, please let us know by reporting a missed delivery.
“You only need to do this once, the team will deliver your containers as soon as they can.
“Properties with a communal bin store aren’t affected by the changes at this stage, so don’t need any new containers.
“If you've only just reported a missed delivery, your new containers might not be delivered in time for your next collection.
“If this applies to you, please place any food waste in your general waste bin and metal and plastic recycling together in a sturdy box until your new containers arrive.”
