A popular Indian restaurant in Swindon has been given full marks following a recent hygiene inspection.
Kebria Tandoori on High Street in Highworth was handed the five-out-of-five rating on Wednesday, October 25.
Swindon Borough Council’s Environmental Health Team found the restaurant to be to a “very good” standard.
In the report, inspectors deemed Kebria Tandoori’s cleanliness and condition of their facilities and building to also be “very good”.
This section relates to the restaurant having the appropriate layout, ventilation, handwashing facilities and pest control to enable good food hygiene.
Kebria Tandoori did not score as highly on other sections of the report but was still deemed to be of a “good” standard in these other areas.
One of which was the Indian restaurant’s hygienic food handling on site.
This category regards the hygienic handling of food including preparation, cooking, re-heating, cooling and storage.
Kebria Tandoori’s management of food safety was also classed as “good” on the Food Standards Agency report.
This refers to whether there are systems or checks in place to ensure that food sold or served at the eatery is safe to consume.
It also covers whether there is evidence that staff know about food safety and whether the food safety officer has confidence that these standards will be maintained in future.
