A man supervising a learner driver in Swindon has been reported by police after they discovered he did not have a valid licence.
The incident happened on Mead Way at around midday on Saturday, November 25, when the man was sitting in the vehicle next to the learner driver.
He was on his phone in the silver Vauxhall when the force spotted him and found that no valid licence had been held for the correct number of years.
Taking to Twitter, Wiltshire Specialist Operations posted the news along with a photograph of the man and car.
A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: “Unlike this person, when supervising a learner driver you should not use your phone.
“You should, however, have held a UK, EU or EEA licence for at least three years, unfortunately he had not.”
Officers confirmed that the man had been reported as a result.
