A new sandwich is being trialled at a Swindon branch of Subway.
The fast food chain is testing out a Steak and Blue Cheese SubMelt at five of its sandwich shops – including two in Wiltshire.
The new menu option is available as a six-inch or footlong sub.
It features steak, creamy melted blue cheese, fresh red peppers, caramelised red onions, and sweet onion sauce.
It is now available while stocks last at the Lydiard Fields Subway in Swindon near Junction 16 of the M4 and at The Bridge in Chippenham.
Further afield, the sandwich is being offered at Broad Quay in Bristol, Yate Shopping Centre in Yate, and the Cardiff and Vale College Campus.
Subway is also testing out a Steak, Raclette and Truffle SubMelt elsewhere in Darwen, Rivington, and Preston.
The most popular of the two experimental eats will be made available around the UK in 2024.
A spokesperson said: “Launched as a part of Subway’s new Series menu, SubMelts® are hot, pressed and toasted panini-style Subs, filled with melted cheese and mouth-watering flavours – perfect for warming you up this winter!
“SubMelts can also be enjoyed as a meal deal with a drink and crisps or a cookie.”
