A police dog has been praised of its assistance in catching two men following reports of windows being smashed in.

Warminster Police took to Facebook on Wednesday, November 29 to praise Police Dog Bree who tracked down the two men.

Wiltshire Police were called to an address in Westleigh, Warminster following reports of windows being smashed in at an address at 2am on Tuesday, November 28.

BD Bree first picked up a scent and tracked it back to the address of a man who was arrested and then tracked it to a second address where the second man was arrested.

The two men in their 30s were both arrested on suspicion of criminal damage.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “One of them was also arrested on suspicion of racially aggravated abuse towards a police officer and the other was arrested on suspicion of theft of a vehicle and theft from a vehicle.

“Both men have been released on bail while enquiries continue.”
