A new clothes shop has opened at Swindon Designer Outlet in time for the Christmas shopping season.
Mountain Warehouse officially opened its doors this week at the Rodbourne retail destination after months of preparation.
The outdoor clothing and camping brand had previously had a long-running tenancy at the Outlet in a different unit just metres away, but announced it would close earlier this year.
After months of closing down signs in the window as well as clear-out sales, the original store permanently shut on Wednesday, November 22.
On November 20, signs which read “everything must go” and “closing down for relocation” were displayed alongside a countdown that stated: “Only 2 days to go!”
The shop, which sells equipment for hiking, camping, skiing, cycling, running and fitness, has seen its stock reduced in price in recent months.
Mountain Warehouse has now made the short move to the bigger unit opposite its former home and now can offer more space for stock and supplies.
The red carpet was rolled outside the newest addition to the Kemble Drive building which is a McArthurGlen Outlet tradition for incoming stores.
This unit was previously that of the sportswear shop Puma which recently moved into a different unit nearby itself.
