A Londoner is due to appear in court for travelling at 64mph on the M4 near Swindon.

Jason Small, of Cavendish Road in Merton, was previously found guilty of two charges.

The 51-year-old is now due to appear to make a statutory declaration in connection with these offences.

He was convicted of failing to give information when required to Avon and Somerset Police on February 8, 2021, about the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.

Small was also convicted of driving said vehicle, a blue Jaguar, at 64mph in a zone of the motorway's eastbound carriageway between Junctions 15 and 16.

At the time, on January 6, 2021, there was a temporary 50mph speed limit in place.

This original conviction dates back to February 2021 and was imposed by Bath Magistrates Court.

It was previously listed at Bromley Magistrates Court on December 1 for Small to make a statutory declaration, but proceedings were adjourned until December 19 at the same court.
