A brand new gym has officially opened in Swindon following months of planning.
It was first announced in November of 2022 that popular high street sportswear brand JD would be opening a gym in Swindon.
Following months of speculation, it was then revealed in August that it would move into the former building of B&M on Ocotal Way.
After weeks of renovations at the site, JD Gyms officially opened its doors in Swindon on Tuesday, December 5.
The 24,000-square-foot fitness facility is located next to the new B&M store and features hundreds of pieces of cardio, strength and functional fitness equipment.
Inside there is one of the area’s largest free weights zones, sled track, Eleiko functional zone, large boxing area, dedicated glute area and saunas in the luxury changing rooms.
General Manager, Ian Pratt, said: “Swindon is a fantastic location, and we’ve had some incredible feedback from our members about the quality and variety of our equipment and the atmosphere in the gym.
“There’s nothing like it in the area. Anyone is welcome to come down and have a look around.’’
The opening of JD Gyms, which also has free parking, comes soon after the closure of Kiss Gyms on Princes Street.
