A Swindon woman has been banned from a town centre nightclub after admitting to assaulting three police officers.

Tori Thompson, of Shenton Close in Stratton, appeared at Swindon Magistrates Court on Monday, December 4 for sentencing.

The 23-year-old pleaded guilty to assaulting a male police officer with the intention of resisting arrest on September 14, and beating up two other police officers – one male and one female - in Swindon on September 15 as part of the same incident.

The defendant must pay £70 in compensation to each of her three victims and has been banned from going into the Power Lounge nightclub on Bridge Street for the next 12 months.

There was no order for her to contribute to covering court costs because paying compensation took priority.

The Power Lounge nightclub and restaurant opened in the former home of Revolution in September 2021.
