The former Swindon showroom of a national kitchen firm is now up for sale, one year after it went into administration.
Optiplan Kitchen's Swindon site has been left empty and abandoned since staff were made redundant in November 2022.
A security guard stationed outside the company building at the time of the closure said that "no one is allowed to walk onto the site".
"Despite taking action to restructure the business in April this year, escalating utility costs and further material cost increases have eroded the benefits that were achieved from this,” said former Optiplan CEO Jason Limbert in a letter to employees.
"Given the ongoing economic challenges with seemingly no end in sight to the high levels of ongoing inflation, we have reached the conclusion that there is no viable alternative to this action."
Now over a year on from the closure of the business, Optiplan’s offices in Swindon have been put on the market.
According to a listing on Zoopla, the site is listed for £2.85 million.
It boasts that the property is a "modern detached warehouse/industrial facility", with a "secure self-contained site" and a new lease agreement.
The building is arranged in four portal frames and is clad in a modern insulated metal sheet roof.
Estate agents say that they will give consideration to dividing the facility.
