Overflowing rubbish created an unsightly mess on a town centre street.
Several bins full to the brim with rubbish spilled out onto Spring Gardens, near the entrance to the Paramount building.
Dozens of people live in apartments on the site, which also covers part of Princes Street and was also home to Kiss Gyms, which closed suddenly last month as new owners are set to take charge of the ground floor space.
Work is currently underway to replace the cladding wrapped around the structure, which currently consists of the flammable material expanded polystyrene (EPS), foam insulation and timber.
The building is managed by First Port but, as is the case with the majority of the town, Swindon Borough Council is responsible for the collection of waste.
A spokesperson for the property management company said: “The bin collection at Paramount is the responsibility of the council and we are aware of recurrent issues with missed collections.
“We can confirm that [as of Thursday, December 7] the rubbish has now been removed and we are working with the council to ensure that going forward all rubbish is collected as residents would expect.”
