Police are searching for a wanted man who allegedly failed to turn up to court.

Karl Jobson failed to attend Swindon Magistrates Court on August 16 and officers searched for the 40-year-old in connection with this non-appearance.

UPDATE: Police have since confirmed that Jobson is no longer wanted. The original story is below.

A spokesperson for the force said: “If you see Karl call us immediately on 999, providing us with a description of what he is wearing, anything he is carrying and his direction of travel.

“If you have information which could assist with our enquiries then please call our non-emergency number 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.”

The log number 54210037066 should be quoted when contacting the police with information about this case.

The appeal to find Jobson comes as part of the Wiltshire Police’s Wanted this Winter campaign, which sees them “shine the spotlight” on individuals they believe could help with their investigations.
