More details have been revealed after a busy Swindon road was forced to close on Monday after two children were hit by a car.
The children were involved in the crash at around 3.15pm, which saw a large emergency services presence at the scene and police close off Beechcroft Road.
The crash took place at traffic lights near the church on Beechcroft Road, and the children’s medical condition was not confirmed at the time.
However, Wiltshire Police have now issued a new statement regarding the welfare of the children involved.

“At around 3.15pm yesterday, we responded to a road traffic collision involving a car and two children on Beechcroft Road, Swindon,” said a spokesperson for Wiltshire Police on Tuesday.
“The children were taken to Great Western Hospital to be treated for their injuries but have since been discharged.
“No arrests have been made.”
The crash on December 11 marked the second crash to have taken place on Beechcroft Road within a week.
A separate incident on December 6 saw one person hospitalised and a lamppost damaged.
