Parts of a town just outside Swindon has been left without power on Thursday morning, with more than 70 homes affected.
Several households in East Cricklade have had no power since 7.50am on December 14, after an unexpected power cut occurred.
Streets affected include large sections of the High Street and roads around Eysey, with 13 postcodes in the SN6 postcode area affected.
It is currently estimated that 71 households have been left completely powerless with electricity in the area not expected to return until 1pm on Thursday afternoon.
This is also likely to affect businesses and restaurants at the top end of the High Street, many of which have been left without electrictity.
A spokesperson from SSEN said: “We’re sorry for the loss of supply, we currently have a fault affecting the area.
“Our engineers are working hard to get the power back on as quickly as they can.”
