Several local Swindon businesses have joined together to hide prizes around the town, as part of a huge Christmas gift hunt.
Nong Skett from Not Just Travel launched the gift hunt in partnership with local businesses, to spread joy and goodwill throughout Swindon this festive season.
"Since I started in January 2022, I’ve been keen to build a ‘community’ ethos into my business," explained Nong, an independent travel consultant in Swindon.
"Last year I donated hundreds of scarves to local charities as a way of giving back to the community, but this year I wanted to do something fun that brought people together and helped build that sense of community.
“Teaming up with local partners such as Swindon Designer Outlet Village, Swindon & Wiltshire Pride, the Plough Old Town, Billy & Louie Studios, and several other businesses, we are on a mission to make this Christmas unforgettable for Swindon residents," she added.
Gift boxes donated by the businesses have been hidden around the town at 'top secret' locations, and residents can participate in the hunt by following clues released on Not Just Travel's social media pages.
The first round of gifts was hidden on December 12, and the second round will be placed around Swindon on December 20.
Prizes include a £50 voucher for Swindon Designer Outlet, singing lessons with Billy & Louie Studios, a Sunday lunch for four at The Fox & Hounds in Wroughton and one month free membership at Thrive Swindon gyms, among many others.
All gift boxes also include a £50 voucher towards your next getaway with Not Just Travel.
Speaking about the gift hunt extravaganza, Swindon's twin singers Billy and Louie who gained fame on BBC1’s Little Mix: The Search, said: “As an independent business, we are always seeking ways to connect with our local community and with neighbouring businesses.
“We are so enthusiastic about imparting the knowledge and experience we've garnered to the vibrant pool of talent in Swindon.”
While there are only a limited number of prizes up for grabs, organiser Nong has hinted that this might not be the last Swindon sees of her community giving.
"Who knows this may be the start of many more interactive games and fun to bring people together – I had so much fun doing this and love seeing people win some freebies," she said.
