Fire crews from two Wiltshire fire stations descended on a leisure centre for a 'hazmat drill' - and promptly apologised to locals for causing an alarm.
The training was staged at the Lime Kiln Leisure Centre in Royal Wootton Bassett and saw several members of the WBLETS amateur theatre group pretending to be 'casualties' of exposure to hazardous material.
In a post on Facebook from the fire service, a spokesperson said: "Tonight we were at the Lime Kiln Centre to take part in a simulated Hazmat Drill.
"Thanks to the WBLETS for providing actors of the finest calibre to be our casualties.
"DWFRS Royal Wootton Bassett and DWFRS Malmesbury got some great practical experience out of out the night."
They then added: "Sorry if any of you were worried."
The WBLETS is the junior arm of the longstanding local theatre group the WBLOS, which has been a fixture of the area since 1977.
These days, WBLOS performs at least two shows a year, while the junior section entertains the town with a musical every other summer and a number of concerts throughout the year.
