Police have confirmed a man has died after suffering a cardiac arrest in the stairwell of a block of flats in Swindon.
Officers rushed to the building in Fire Fly Avenue shortly before 8.30pm on Thursday, December 28, after paramedics called them to the ongoing incident.
A man in his 60s was in cardiac arrest when they arrived and died at the scene despite the efforts of the emergency services.
Multiple emergency service vehicles could be seen outside the building during the incident.
A spokesperson for the force confirmed that there are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.
They said: “We were called by the ambulance service shortly before 8.30pm last night to an incident in the stairwell of a block of flats in Firefly Avenue, Swindon.
“A man in his 60s was in cardiac arrest and sadly died at the scene.
“The death is not believed to be suspicious and a file will now be prepared on behalf of HM Coroner for Wiltshire.”
