Three drivers face a potential trip to court after they were caught racing along a major Swindon road in the early hours of the morning.
The drivers - two of whom were behind the wheel of dark-coloured BMWs, and the third in an unidentified white car - were pulled over just after midnight on Saturday morning (December 30).
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police's Roads Policing Unit said officers clocked the trio at 64mph on Great Western Way - which has a 40mph limit.
All three vehicles have been handed a traffic offence report and will either be given points on their license or expected to attend court.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police wrote: "Anti-social driving will not be tolerated.
"Our streets are not race tracks."
RPU officers also issued section 59 warning notices to the drivers.
Section 59, which refers to the Police Reform Act, allows police to seize vehicles if they are used to cause "alarm, distress or annoyance to members of the public", and is driven without due care or attention or if it is driven without lawful authority.
