A town close to Swindon was left without water for several hours after a main burst.
The pipe broke in the early hours of Wednesday, January 10, and affected the majority of the town.
Areas including Lismore, Knowlands, Brookfield and Westrop amongst others were all left dry by the issue.
Thames Water confirmed that it was aware of the problem and on scene working to get it fixed from the morning.
Later on in the afternoon water was flowing once more for the Highworth households while bottled water was provided to residents during the time the water supply was interrupted.
A spokesperson for Thames Water said: “We responded to reports of a burst water main on Lismore Road in Highworth in the early hours of Wednesday 10 January.
“Our engineers have repaired the main and will finish the reinstatement this afternoon.
“We are sorry to residents who have been impacted by this and have customer representatives in the area to provide support.”
