A new driver wrote off their car after crashing into a tree just outside Swindon.
The incident happened on Friday evening (January 12) in Highworth, leaving both the driver and the passenger injured.
It was revealed by Wiltshire Police that the driver of the crashed vehicle had only held their driving licence for three weeks.
The car itself was pictured by the force as being badly damaged and wrapped around a tree with the driver’s door folded inwards.
Wiltshire Police’s Specialist Operations team tweeted: “Roads Policing Unit dealt with this RTC near Highworth today.
“The driver has only held a licence for 3 weeks!
“We wish the driver and passenger all the best for a full recovery.
“Please think when on the road, drive to the conditions and don’t be distracted!”
