Chilly sub-zero temperatures are forecast for Swindon this week.
The mercury is set to plummet to lows of minus five degrees Celsius on Wednesday night, though cold winds and other conditions will make it feel even colder at -8C.
Before then, the rest of Monday should feature clear, sunny skies with temperatures ranging from 3 to -4C, though it will feel like -2C at most, even as the sunshine beams down on the town.
Tuesday will see more dry spells and a similar temperature range of 3C to -2C, but it will still feel like the mercury has not risen above zero.
Wednesday will be the chilliest time of the week, as clouds cover the sky, temperatures top out at 2C with lows of -5, and 'feels like' temperatures remain firmly in the minus figures, hovering around -7 and -8C before midnight and into much of Thursday morning.
The sun will shine again on Thursday as temperatures begin to rise to at least -3C and at most 3C before Friday sees the expected range stay above zero for the first time all week, with lows of 1C.
Comparatively warmer weather will arrive on the weekend, even hitting double figures with highs of 10C on Sunday, but the sunny spells will come to an end as the chance of rain increases.
