Two people have been hospitalised after a car smashed into a tree.
The driver, who police said had only held a driving licence for three weeks, and their passenger were both hospitalised following the crash.
The driver suffered serious injuries.
The crash happened on the B4000 near Highworth just after 4pm on Friday, January 12.
A photo posted by Wiltshire Specialist Operations shows serious damage to the blue car as the side of the car collided with the tree.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “We responded to reports of a road traffic collision involving one vehicle on the B4000, towards Highworth just after 4pm on Friday.
“The vehicle has left the road and collided with a tree, causing injuries to the driver and passenger.
“They were both taken to hospital to be treated for their injuries - the driver with serious injuries not thought to be life-threatening.”
Meanwhile, the force said on X, formerly Twitter: “We wish the driver and passenger all the best for a full recovery.
“Please think when on the road, drive to the conditions and don’t be distracted!”
