A three-car crash on the A419 was caused by one of the drivers not being able to see properly as a result of grime on their windscreen, police say.
The incident happened during the morning rush hour, just before 9am on Friday, January 19, near Latton to the north of the town.
Posting a picture of a wrecked car on X, Wiltshire Police's roads unit claimed the crash was caused by grime on its windscreen and a lack of washer fluid.
The posted: “Roads Policing Unit dealt with this collision earlier today where the driver couldn’t see the vehicles in front were much slower, the road grime on the windscreen and no washer fluid wouldn’t have helped.”
Another spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “We responded to reports of a three-vehicle collision on the A419, Latton just before 9am on Friday morning (January 19).
“No injuries were reported and no arrests were made.”
