A Swindon sushi bar which was given a damning food hygiene rating has now been listed for sale.
Aya Sushi has been located in the Swindon Designer Outlet since 2020 and was given a one-out-of-five score following a hygiene inspection on July 27, 2023.
The report found that major improvement was necessary to the management of food safety which regards ensuring that that food sold or served is safe to eat.
Now several months on, the eatery has been listed for sale by Hilton Smithe Business Advisors of Bolton for the asking price of £75,000.
The sale includes a commercial kitchen, extraction system, fridges, freezers, a counter, card reader, tables and chairs.
Rent is £28,000 per annum while the landlord has warned that they will not allow a change of use or cuisine at the premises.
The firm states that the business is being sold on a Leasehold basis with it currently being on a five-year lease.
Aya Sushi, which currently employs three members of staff, generated a turnover in the region of £215,000.
A Hilton Smithe spokesperson said: “The business has now come to the market as our client is looking to move on.
“The business offers an eat in, takeaway or a delivery option via Just Eat.”
