A Swindon chef has said he is "proud" after competing in the Young Masterchef final, which aired on Monday night.
Lewis Gibson from Penhill took part in the popular BBC television cookery competition throughout this month leading to the final on Monday evening.
Competing against Sheryl and Famara, the Swindonian finished as a runner-up with the latter of his two competitors taking the crown.
Despite not winning, Lewis was quick to praise the experience of starring on the show and its effect on his life.

“I’m gutted but I think at the end of the day you know the best man won as Famara’s just been on it since day one.
“I’m so happy for him and hopefully we collaborate in the future.
“I’m proud of what I’ve done and I think I have learnt a lot, not just about cooking, but also about myself.”
The 22-year-old’s dad who is a professional chef also appeared on the final while Lewis cooked a family-inspired roast.
“He is one of my biggest critics but also one of my biggest supporters,” he said.
“You saw me when he came in, it’s absolutely just insane to have him there.”
Since filming Lewis has returned to Spain where he is on a year abroad from Sheffield University.
