A motorcyclist was fined after he was spotted speeding in a busy supermarket car park in Wiltshire.
The incident happened at around 8.30pm on Sunday, February 4, at Sainsbury’s on Bath Road in Chippenham.
Wiltshire Police officers were on patrol were on patrol when they witnessed the biker riding in an anti-social manner.
The force says that the motorcyclist riding at dangerous speeds in pedestrianised areas outside the store.
Members of the public stopped the rider by blocking the road in order to slow him down before officers arrived.
He was issued with a fixed penalty notice due to the manner of his riding and given a Section 59 warning which means officers can seize his motorcycle if caught again.
Sergeant Jamie Ball said: “Although the store was closed at this time, there were a number of people in the area.
“His manner of riding caused concern to those nearby and our officers and he was issued with a FPN.
“We regularly patrol our local supermarket car parks and retail parks as we know this kind of behaviour causes a huge amount of upset and concern to local residents and businesses and we would urge anyone who witnesses this kind of behaviour to report it immediately.”
