The following cases were heard at Swindon Magistrates Court earlier this week.

GORSE HILL: Lisa Lockey, of Wilcox Close, has been sentenced for assault and outraging public decency.

The 44-year-old indicated pleas of guilty to beating a female detention officer, causing actual bodily harm to a male police constable, and exposing parts of her body in a public place on May 1, 2023.

She received a six-week prison sentence which has been suspended for 18 months.

The defendant must also pay £85 in court costs, pay £200 in compensation to the policeman and £100 compensation to the detention officer, receive six months of mental health treatment, and carry out up to 20 rehab activity days.

SWINDON: Cameron O’Mally-Richardson, of Jack Paul Close in Mere, has been sentenced for causing actual bodily harm.

The 28-year-old indicated a plea of guilty to assaulting a man in Swindon on June 28, 2023.

He has been jailed for four weeks because the offence is so serious that only a custodial sentence can be justified and because of the defendant's previous offending with violence.

ABBEY MEADS: Mark Tapp, of Gable Close, has been sentenced for causing actual bodily harm.

The 27-year-old indicated a plea of guilty to assaulting a woman in Swindon on September 25, 2023.

He received a community order that requires him to carry out 80 hours of unpaid work, carry out up to 15 rehab activity days and pay £85 in court costs as well as £114 to fund victim services.

RAILWAY VILLAGE: David Walch, of Reading Street, has been sentenced for possession of drugs and an offensive weapon.

The 53-year-old indicated pleas of guilty to having cocaine and cannabis on him while in Swindon on November 19, 2023.

He also changed his plea to guilty regarding a charge of having a knuckle duster at his home on November 19, 2023.

The defendant has been fined £308 and ordered to pay £85 in court costs as well as £123 to fund victim services.

The Class A and Class B drugs and violent hand accessory have been forfeited and destroyed.

ROYAL WOOTTON BASSETT: Aidan Green-Thompson, of Cloatley Crescent, has been sentenced for an offence.

The defendant pleaded guilty to abandoning a motor vehicle - an offence under the Refuse Disposal (Amenity) Act 1978 - on Cloatley Crescent on or before July 19, 2023.

He has been fined £100 and ordered to pay £1,136 in court costs.

FERNDALE: Scott Downes, of Brunel Crescent, has been sentenced for possessing Class A drugs.

The 46-year-old indicated a plea of guilty to having heroin on him while in Swindon on November 28, 2023.

The illegal substance has been forfeited and destroyed, and the defendant has been fined £50.

HAYDON WICK: Anthony Glover, of Beatrice Street, has been sentenced for driving offences.

The 38-year-old changed his plea to guilty in regards to charges of driving an Audi TT along Pinehurst Road on March 2, 2023 while disqualified from driving and without valid insurance.

He received a six-month driving ban, a £120 fine, must carry out 150 hours of unpaid work, take part in up to 15 rehab activity days, and pay £85 in court costs as well as £114 to fund victim services.

CRICKLADE: The mother of a child has been sentenced after her child failed to regularly attend school.

The parent, who must be kept anonymous in this report so as to avoid identifying the young person involved, has been fined £80 and ordered to pay £200 in court costs as well as £32 to fund victim services.

TROWBRIDGE: Artush Domi, of Cranley Court in Yate, has been sentenced for driving offences.

The 27-year-old pleaded guilty to driving a car along Mortimer Road in Trowbridge without insurance and while disqualified from driving.

He has been banned from driving for 92 months and jailed for four weeks.
