A man has been fined after stealing a Henry hoover from a B&M store.
Joshua Daffurn of Wood Lane, Chippenham pleaded guilty to stealing the household item from the B&M Store at Hathaway Retail Park on January 8.
The 29-year-old was sentenced for the offence on Wednesday, February 7 at Swindon Magistrates Court.
He received a fine of £80 and his guilty plea was taken into consideration during sentencing. He was also made to pay a £32 surcharge for the offence.
A Henry Turbo Vacuum Cleaner is currently listed on the B&M Stores website as £139.
Daffurn is one of many thieves sentenced for shoplifting already in 2024.
Michael McDonagh was sentenced after stealing £342 worth of items from both Morrisons and Aldi. He has been handed a 12-month prison sentence.
Aaron Gleed stole eight bottles of spirits worth £235.95 across five days from a Cooperative store in Swindon.
He received a sentence of nine weeks in prison for the offence of theft but will serve 23 weeks due to the crimes being committed while on a suspended sentence.
