A 74-year-old man has been charged with drink driving.

The pensioner was arrested on Webbs Way in Burbage on Sunday, February 11 and taken to Gablecross Police Station. He is said to have provided a specimen of breath of just under three times the legal limit.

He was is due to appear at Salisbury Magistrates' Court on Friday, March 8.

Meanwhile, a 39 year-old man from the Salisbury area was stopped by Wiltshire Police on George Lane in Marlborough on Friday, February 9.

He then allegedly provided a roadside specimen of breath which found him to be more than three-and-a-half times the legal limit.

He was then taken to Gablecross Police Station in Swindon where he is said to have provided an evidential specimen of breath which found that he was still more than two-and-a-half times the drink limit.

He has since been charged and will also appear at Salisbury Magistrates' Court on Friday, March 8.
