A suspect said to have been 'acting suspiciously' in a Swindon park was arrested by police after attempting to flee on an illegally-modified bike.
After man in question was tracked down using CCTV, he was searched by police who said they found him to be in possession of drugs.
It came after reports of suspicious activity at Faringdon Park on Friday (February 16).
The bike was then seized, and the man will appear in court.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police wrote: “E-bikes that are propelled without the use of pedals with motors over 250 watts are classed as motor vehicles and require a licence, insurance etc…
“Swindon police regularly receive complaints about the use of such bikes which are often ridden dangerously at high speeds.”
Swindon Police Facebook page posted about the incident on behalf of Wiltshire Police on the same day of the incident.
An image was released which shows a dark green bike with a large battery attached.
