Wiltshire resources are helping with an underwater search for a missing 76-year-old woman across the border in an Oxfordshire town.
Iona, whose last name has not been released, has not been seen since 11am on Monday (February 12) as the search for the Witney woman enters its seventh day in the west Oxfordshire town.
The underwater search has continued today with help from the Wiltshire Search and Rescue team as photos from Adver reporter Sarah Dalton illustrate.
The Avon and Somerset specialist dive team was requested to join the search by Thames Valley Police on Thursday (February 15).
They conducted a detailed underwater search of the River Windrush in Witney on Friday (February 16) and almost two kilometres had been covered.
Police previously said they were growing ‘increasingly concerned’ for Iona’s welfare but the force is ‘keeping an open mind’ as the search continues.
