A new business is set to open in Swindon with a focus on all things darts.
Businesswoman Hannah Ellis and her friend Emma Van Leer are embarking on a new venture together - the Swindon Darts Hub.
The idea is for there to be a store that services the town's many darts players, providing all of the equipment and help they need to step up to the oche, and it will be located on Cricklade Road.
Hannah, who owns other Gorse Hill businesses, has explained why darts was the next thing she wanted to take on.
"I've always been interested in darts and my best friend plays professional darts, I've always been in the scene since I played up north 18 years ago," she said.
"Recently I and a friend Emma thought it would be a great idea to open a one-stop shop for all dart players' needs. There isn't anything in Swindon that offers a try-before-you-buy service either.
"We have come together to bring our vision into reality. We will be opening soon! We hope that everyone will love it and what we have to offer."
She added that she knows a number of PDC darts players and big names who are also backing the dedicated offering.
News of the new store coming was broken on Facebook, with Hannah excitedly saying: "No more Shhhhhh! The secret is out"
The announcement she posted added: "We all know that darts is huge at the moment and even though its always been a big part of the community in Swindon; the town hasn't got a good darts shop.
"So... myself and Emma Van Leer are going for it!
"Whilst we're sorting things out behind the scenes; please do go ahead and like and share the Facebook page and follow us on Instagram.
"Yes we have done our research too before anyone starts."
You can find the Swindon Darts Hub on Facebook, Instagram, and their not-yet-active website swindondartshub.co.uk
The exact location and opening date are not yet known.
Hannah is a successful businesswoman in the Swindon area as she also owns Ellis Printwear and The Unit gym.
The Unit opened in November 2022 as a body-inclusive gym after Hannah overcame her own weight and body image issues and felt compelled to help others do the same.
Her partner in the darts venture, Emma, currently works for Network Rail as a project manager.
