An elderly woman crashed her vehicle into a building on a Swindon industrial estate, sparking an emergency services response.
The incident happened on Wednesday, February 21 at the Techno Trading Estate on Bramble Road.
A woman in her 80s was taken to hospital while two fire engines, an ambulance and a police car were witnessed at the scene.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said on Thursday, February 22: “At around 11am yesterday morning we responded after a vehicle collided with a building in Bramble Road, Techno Trading Estate, Swindon.
“The driver of the vehicle, a woman in her 80s, was taken to hospital as a precaution.”
A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: “We were called at 11.10am on Wednesday 21 February to an incident in Swindon. We sent a double-crewed land ambulance and conveyed one patient by land ambulance to Great Western Hospital.”
A spokesperson for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service also said: on February 22 “Crews from Swindon, Stratton and Westlea were called to Ganton Way, Elgin, at 11am yesterday morning following reports of a road traffic collision.
“The incident involved a single vehicle and building, but the driver self-rescued so crews only assisted our police colleagues with scene safety. Our stop was in at 12.01pm.”
