A well-established bar, café and events venue just outside Swindon has gone up for sale.
The freehold of The Cricklade Club in Cricklade has been put on the market with a guide price of £725,000.
Known locally as ‘The Club’ this former social club was radically transformed in 2017 into what is now referred to as a social kitchen, bar and event space and was instantly referred to as "a little bit of Shoreditch in Cricklade" according to Fleurets, who brought it to market.
The main bar and restaurant boasts a 4.5 rating on Trip Advisor for its trendy vibe and quality of food using local providers.
There are around 60 covers but Fleurets suggests there is an opportunity to build on this by extending trading hours beyond the premise’s 2am licence.
Separate function and event spaces could be used for weddings, parties, events, live music and company presentations.
The current owners said: “These third spaces are both vital and popular in towns with an ever-growing population seeking to escape the rat race.
“The Club offers huge potential for growth and/or site development, which is in an advanced stage and has the backing of the town council.
“We’ve laid the foundations for an excellent business to be taken to the next level.”
