The transformation of the former PC World shop in Greenbridge Retail Park into a bowling alley is one step closer.

Hollywood Bowl has submitted a planning application to put up signs at unit 15 in the park in eastern Swindon

The application shows a huge illuminated sign on the front of the building above the main entrance in purple and red with the Hollywood Bowl name and logo, plus separate signs lit by LED borders either side of that which say “Bowl Dine” and "Drink Play”.

If permission is granted a fourth sign will be put up on the side of the building.

The company was given a licence to run the bowling centre and to sell food and drink last year.

When it was granted Original Bowling Company Ltd said that the unit would host 22 ten-pin bowling lanes as well as amusements and arcade games and food and drink for patrons.

Construction on the site began in January and the company said the scheduled opening of the alleys would be late Spring this year.

The licence granted last year allows the sale of alcohol from 9am to 1am.
