Toilets at a busy Swindon supermarket have been closed for plumbing work - with one customer labelling the closure "very upsetting".
Customer toilets at Tesco on Ocotal Way are currently closed, with work set to conclude at the beginning of next week.
It comes just two weeks after customers reported a smell of sewage at the entrance to the store.
It has not been confirmed whether the two incidents are linked.
Whilst the closure is in place, there are currently portable toilets available for customers.
Samantha Pattison, 45, who was shopping when she noticed the closure, said: “It was very inconvenient and quite a few people also found it quite inconvenient.
“It was very upsetting.”
A spokesperson for Tesco said: “The public in-store toilets at our Swindon Extra store are currently closed for plumbing work.
"We have portable toilets on site for use by customers until the work is complete, and we apologise for the inconvenience.”
Tesco were forced to apologise just two weeks ago after customers reported the store entrance smelling of sewage on Valentine's Day.
A spokesperson for Tesco said it had been caused by a blocked drainpipe.
One shopper told the Adver: “It was vile."
She explained that it smelt like “sewage with a little bit of air freshener”.
