Police are searching for a man previously convicted of murder who is wanted on recall to prison.

Wesley Keel has breached his licence conditions and officers are keen to bring him back into custody.

The 46-year-old, of no fixed abode, is thought to be in and around Swindon town centre at the moment.

A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: “If you have any information about where he might be, please call us on 999 quoting reference number 54220012639.

“Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”

In 1997, Wesley Keel was convicted of stabbing a teenager to death in 1996.

Keel was 19 and the de-facto leader of a violent gang in Whaddon, Cheltenham, when he murdered Jonathan Busson - three years his junior.

For this offence, he was jailed for life with a minimum term of 12 years, minus the 11 months he had served on remand awaiting trial.

Keel was initially released from prison in 2010, then recalled in 2012, released in March 2017, recalled that October, and released again at some point before early 2019, before being recalled again in November 2019.

In February 2022, he was recalled to prison for the fifth time after being released in 2021.
